Understand Website Chat, Vox, and tool usage

Text interactions and discrete actions use event-based formulas instead of voice minutes. Current rates are read from the credit-cost registry. The Billing page exposes Vox rates; usage records expose settled credit quantities.

Website Chat

chat credits = platform message fee
+ input tokens / 1,000 × input rate
+ output tokens / 1,000 × output rate

Rates can be model-specific. When no specific model rate exists, Wirevox uses the default Website Chat input and output rates.

Both the agent-editor preview and a deployed website chat reserve credits before generation and settle to the provider-reported or estimated token total afterward. Tool actions invoked during chat can create their own metered events.

Vox

Vox credits = platform message fee
+ uncached input tokens / 1,000 × input rate
+ cached input tokens / 1,000 × cached-input rate
+ output tokens / 1,000 × output rate
+ completed web searches × search rate
+ successfully analyzed attachments × attachment rate

Vox is available on every plan but uses the active workspace's credits. It reserves enough for the selected context mode and potential tool rounds before responding, then settles actual model, search, and attachment usage.

See Vox platform assistant for model routing, workspace capabilities, approval-backed actions, research, attachments, chat lifecycle, and product limits.

An attachment whose analysis fails is not counted as a successfully analyzed attachment. A request that fails after reservation attempts to settle at zero. Approving a Vox platform action does not itself add another Vox message charge, though the resulting platform function can have its own usage cost.

SMS and transfers

The cost registry currently defines flat usage rates for inbound SMS, outbound SMS, SMS-confirmation functions, and call transfers. The runtime records a ledger event when a metered path executes. Other functions default to zero Wirevox credits unless a cost is configured or the connected provider charges separately.

External provider fees and Wirevox credits are different concepts. A function that is zero-credit in Wirevox can still cause a charge or business transaction in Google Calendar, a CRM, email, telephony, or another connected system.

Read the exact cost

  • Use the Vox rate card in Settings → Billing for the current Vox formula inputs.
  • Use Workspace Usage for period totals by Calls, Vox, and Tools.
  • Use expanded Call Logs for usage events attributed to a specific call.
  • Use the Website Chat response/session usage fields when diagnosing a chat turn.
