Manage top-ups and subscriptions
Wirevox uses Stripe Checkout for new subscriptions and one-time top-ups, and the Stripe customer portal for subscription and payment-method management.
Buy a top-up
- Open Settings → Billing → Top-up credits.
- Enter at least 50 credits. The input advances in increments of 50, although the server's hard minimum is the decisive validation.
- Review the plan-specific per-credit price and total.
- Select Buy n credits and complete Stripe Checkout.
- Return to Billing and wait for the successful Stripe webhook to add the amount to Purchased Credits.
Purchased credits do not expire. A cancelled or failed Checkout does not add them.
Start a subscription
Choose a plan on the Free billing screen and continue to Stripe. Starter, Growth, and Agency receive a seven-day trial only if the workspace has never used one. Pay As You Go has no trial.
After checkout, Wirevox polls Stripe while its signed webhooks provision the workspace. Do not assume the tier changed until Billing shows the new active plan and balances.
Upgrade
Change plan allows only a higher-ranked tier. Wirevox asks Stripe for an invoice preview, shows the net amount due, and applies the upgrade with immediate proration. Existing concurrent-call add-ons are migrated to the new tier's add-on product.
If Stripe cannot complete the payment or authentication, the upgrade is rejected and the existing tier remains.
Downgrade
The current in-app plan changer does not perform an immediate downgrade. Cancel the current subscription and resubscribe to a lower plan after it ends.
When a tier changes, Wirevox resets included credits to the new allowance. If the new plan includes fewer phone numbers, excess included numbers can be reclassified as paid recurring numbers.
Cancel or resume
The Cancel or Resume button opens Stripe's customer portal. A scheduled cancellation keeps the paid tier active through the displayed period end. When the subscription is deleted:
- the workspace reverts to Free;
- included credits become zero;
- purchased credits are preserved;
- concurrent-call add-ons are cleared; and
- active phone numbers enter a 30-day non-routing grace period.
Resubscribing during number grace can reactivate those numbers, subject to the new plan's included-number allowance and recurring charges.
Payment methods and invoices
Use Update to open Stripe for payment details. The Invoices tab lists up to 100 invoices associated with the workspace subscription, falling back to the owner's Stripe customer history when necessary. Stripe-hosted invoice links and PDFs are the monetary source of truth.
After three failed invoice attempts, Wirevox applies a dunning lock to the workspace's voice-call and browser-test entry paths. A later successful invoice clears the lock and restores active Stripe status.
