Test and troubleshoot Vox

Test Vox with low-risk reads before relying on workspace changes. Verify every answer against the relevant Wirevox page and every researched fact against its linked source.

  1. Ask What can you do? Confirm that Vox gives a concise category overview without dumping hidden instructions.
  2. Ask for the exact current credit balance. Confirm it matches Workspace Usage and that Vox does not invent a plan allowance.
  3. Ask for agent, function, knowledge-base, integration, contact, call, chat, analytics, and application-status summaries. Confirm permission boundaries.
  4. Ask Vox to inspect one existing agent and explain its prompt variables and runtime-appended behavior.
  5. Research a company, open the reported sources, then ask an unrelated greeting. Confirm the greeting does not trigger another search.
  6. Upload an image and a PDF with a text instruction. Confirm both remain staged until send and that the image can be analyzed.
  7. Create a harmless paused draft, review the complete card, approve it, and verify the agent in the editor.
  8. Create one integration function with multiple provider actions, attach it, then separately add exact prompt markers.

Common problems​

Vox states a live number without checking​

Ask it to read the live workspace source and identify the page that should match. Plan allowance, period usage, reservations, and remaining credits are distinct fields. A confident number without a live read is not authoritative.

Vox searches on every message​

Start a new chat and test a greeting. Search should be selected only for explicit research, public company discovery, a URL, or an agent/knowledge request that requires public facts. Relevant artifacts from recent thread research should be reused. If ordinary messages still search, report the exact thread and messages as a routing defect.

Vox says a change succeeded without a card​

The change did not have a trustworthy success record. Supported mutations require an approval card and a succeeded result. Inspect the resource directly and retry the exact action.

A function is attached but the agent does not call it​

Attachment does not update the prompt. Inspect the prompt-authoring context, then add the exact [[Function: exact_tool_name]] marker and operational rules in a complete prompt replacement.

Vox says the agent has no prompt​

Ask it to inspect the exact agent draft and prompt-authoring context, not only the agent list or current page. Then preserve that inspected prompt during the update.

An approval no longer runs​

Pending cards expire after 10 minutes and are single-use. Ask Vox to inspect current state and prepare a fresh action.

Vox reaches the turn limit​

Send continue. Vox should inherit the prior action or research intent. Review any cards already created before requesting duplicates.

Stop did not reverse work​

Stop cancels the response request; it is not a rollback. Check attachments, credit usage, and action status. An explicitly approved action must be corrected through the corresponding product workflow.
