Leave or delete a workspace
Leaving and deleting have fundamentally different scopes.

Leave safely
Use the Team settings leave action when you no longer need access. A sole owner cannot leave. Promote another active member to Owner first.
Leaving your final membership resets onboarding so you can establish a new workspace. It does not transfer personal account data to another user.
Delete a workspace
Deletion is available from Settings → Danger Zone to a role accepted by the current workspace-manage check. The interface requires typing the exact workspace name and disables deletion when it sees only one accessible workspace.
The server also prevents deletion when the creator has only one creator-owned workspace. Because the interface and server count different sets in some shared-workspace situations, the server may still reject a deletion that the button allowed.
Deletion removes the workspace record. Workspace-scoped tables use cascading relationships for many resources, including memberships, agents, knowledge bases, integrations, calls, contacts, functions, chat sessions, Vox threads, attachments, and actions. Treat the operation as irreversible unless an external backup and restoration process has been arranged.
An agency workspace has a restricted parent relationship to its subaccounts. Resolve or migrate child subaccounts before attempting to delete their parent agency.
Before deletion
- Confirm the workspace ID in the URL and the displayed name.
- Review active agents, assigned phone numbers, integrations, and pending actions.
- Export or retain required operational records through approved processes.
- Resolve subscriptions, invoices, number lifecycle, and external provider connections.
- Confirm that another workspace remains accessible.
- Type the exact name and delete only after accepting the permanent data loss.
Deleting a workspace is not a substitute for cancelling a Stripe subscription or releasing provider-owned resources. Complete the relevant billing and phone-number workflows first.
